Abstract:
penetration holes using UDFs in knowledge engineering modules,a parametric automatic penetration hole solution was proposed by analyzing industry standards for ship penetration holes and the hole-making functionality of CATIAʹs ship module. Compared to the traditional UDF method,this solution offers the advantages of low user barriers,high design efficiency,and a low error rate. In the CATIA V5 environment,a parametric model compliant with industry standards for ship penetration holes was developed through CAA secondary development. This enhances the standardization and accuracy of penetration hole functionality,reduces the time required for users to create UDFs,and demonstrates practical value in real-world engineering applications.Verified through actual projects,the design efficiency of a certain cabin section has improved by approximately 26% and design errors have been reduced by 60%.
