Abstract:
To address the issue of theory-over-practice bias in traditional application-oriented undergraduate engineering education, this study explores a talent cultivation model for Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering based on the Outcome Based Education (OBE) concept (student-centered and competency-driven) and the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) engineering education framework. The model is analyzed and developed through four dimensions: Educational objectives (establishing outcome-oriented goal-setting principles), curriculum system (constructing multi-tiered industry-aligned course structures), management mechanism (implementing student-centered diversified cultivation policies) and assessment framework optimizing talent development quality evaluation metrics. This research provides critical references for formulating application-oriented undergraduate cultivation schemes in intelligent manufacturing engineering.
