Abstract: Based on the necessity and urgency of ideological and political construction in new engineering courses in vocational colleges, this paper first elaborates on the foundation of ideological and political construction in new engineering courses from two aspects: "educational objects" and "educational intentions". Then, the main challenges faced by ideological and political construction in new engineering courses are summarized. Finally, the practical path of ideological and political construction in new engineering courses in vocational colleges is discussed from four aspects: teacher construction, exploration of ideological and political elements, integration of ideological and political elements, and construction of curriculum ideological and political system.
